$325 cigarettes stolen from BP Gas in Lake Ronkonkoma: police

RONKONKOMA, NY – Suffolk Police are asking the public for help in tracking down the burglar who broke into a Lake Ronkonkoma gas station and stole $325 in cigarettes last month.

A man broke a window and entered the BP service station on Portion Road at 3.17am on February 28 and swept up the cigarettes then drove off in a saloon car, police said.

Suffolk Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the burglary to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, a confidential police hotline, or by using a mobile app, which may be downloaded via the App Store or Google Play by searching for P3 Tips. .
