Growing up in Oklahoma, MOTHICA found talking openly about mental health issues taboo and turned to the internet for a sense of community. Although MOTHICA has been writing music since she was a child, she didn’t pursue music until she was 18, independently producing and releasing her songs online. Embarking on a journey of self-expression and exploration through music, MOTHICA has since released a handful of EPs, countless singles, and her 2020 debut album Blue Hour.

Crafting catchy alternative pop on its difficult subject matter, MOTHICA has amassed 200 million global streams and collaborated with artists like Nothing, Nowhere., Royal & the Serpent and Kailee Morgue. She’s built a passionate fan base that connects to her openness to past trauma, her struggle with depression and sobriety. MOTHICA seeks to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health with its inspirational message, using music as an outlet to describe a shared experience that everyone could relate to.
